My consulting career began as a regional instructional coach for Milwaukee Public Schools. I represented MPS’ 27 high school math departments and over 200 math teachers/co-teachers. In this role I wore many hats including:

• Building audits:  goal setting/ongoing support and progress monitoring with principals/building leadership

• Leading teams of 5-30 at all levels of the district

• Creating/implementing professional development for audiences of 5 to over 500

• Ongoing (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) 1:1 coaching support

Within this role implementation skyrocketed by 20% across my math departments and math failure rates decreased in the schools I audited by minimum of 17%. 

Over time my role grew (after 4 years I was offered a significant promotion) but my capacity shrunk. I blended families and went from a mom of 3 to 6 and couldn’t support the summer/evening hours it took to meet the demand of the role.

In the fall of 2023 an opportunity arose to partner with my husband in his small business. We’ve worked together for the past year and a half. 

• In the first 6 months working together I decreased our annual tax payment by almost 30%.

• In the 2nd 6 months working together we increased our commission by a few thousand dollars but ‘owed’ the parent company 350% less annually (amounting to 10’s of thousands of dollars) through implementing new delivery/management processes. 

• In the 3rd 6 months working together we increased our client base by 10% taking on new opportunities within our territory.
